PR, Marketing and Events Internship

The PR, Marketing and Events Team of a small, privately owned company with varied interests is looking for an energetic, pro-active, organiser who can bring flexible, creative and good interpersonal skills to play in representing our company both in the office and at events and shows.

Working within a busy environment, applicants should expect to learn about 

  • The workings of a professional services business, and gain invaluable training and experience in numerous marketing, PR and event organisation tasks
  • How to plan and implement marketing campaigns for large scale events to target audiences through direct mailings, advertisements, public relations, promotional literature, online promotion, fairs and face to face presentations
  • Researching, identifying and building a variety of business databases for sales and marketing use as well as to enhance and assist in selling opportunities
  • Various office management duties, including but not limited to telephonist, reception and customer service

Qualities Required

  • Creative person with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to learn fast and think on their feet
  • Polite and personable
  • Willingness and a 'can do' attitude are essential

Internship Requirements

  • Ideally have experience in Marketing, Sales and Events or have a Degree in similar field
  • Excellent IT Skills, administrative skills and business acumen
  • Full, clean, UK driving license and own transport

The internship is an expenses only role, taking place over an initial three month period during the build up to a large, two day airshow with over 32,000 visitors. The internship can be extended for a successful candidate to cover a further six to eight month paid period.
